2024/5 trials are this week.
The Northern Suburbs Saturday Schools Cricket League (NSSSC) was established in 2010 by a number of Primary Schools in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg. The rationale behind this initiative was "to give as many talented young cricket players, from the member schools, an additional opportunity to play cricket". Children must attend one of the member schools in order to be selected to attend the trials.
The Schools are divided into three groups according to their geographical location, North, Central or South. Each region selects 28 boys from the U8 to U12 age groups, at the end of July each year. These players receive coaching once a week and play in a cricket match on a Saturday.
